About Me
Founder of OptimomWellness

Hello, my name is Iesha (pronounced iy-Y-SHaa).
I was born in Salt Lake City, raised in Portland, Maine, and now call Boston, Massachusetts, home. I’m a certified Level 1–3 Herbalist, a proud mother of two incredible boys—a teenager and a toddler—and the founder of OptimomWellness: a small, heart-led holistic practice devoted to health education and natural healing through remedies like sea moss, yoni steams, and medicinal herbal teas.
Raised by my strong Dominican mother, alongside three brothers and one sister, I’ve always been a natural caretaker—and the curious black sheep of the family. From an early age, I questioned tradition while remaining deeply rooted in it. I watched the women in my life turn to herbs for healing, nourishment, protection, and cleansing—whether tending colds, preparing meals, or conducting rituals.
But something lingered beneath those traditions: a missing piece—the why. While the rituals were powerful, the knowledge behind them wasn’t always passed down. That curiosity led me deeper into the world of herbalism, igniting a passion to reconnect with the sacred roots of plant medicine and holistic wellness.
Like many healers, my path began with personal transformation. A harrowing experience with the medical system and a life-altering health scare forced me to re-evaluate everything. I turned inward, embraced a natural lifestyle, and committed to healing from within. Through that journey, I found not only wellness—but purpose.
Today, I am honored to support others on their own healing journeys—sharing the wisdom of my ancestors, modern herbal knowledge, and intuitive care with a community I love.
